Though there’s nothing like the Manhattan skyline or the architecture of the Brooklyn Bridge, nature’s splendor, such as Vermont’s green mountains or an Ohio cornfield illuminated by a harvest moon, is awe-inspiring too. Nashelle Jewelry captures both sophisticated city glamour and natural beauty with creations made of recycled silver and 14-karat gold with natural stones. Through Oct. 31, Nashelle is offering a pair of earrings made with 14-karat gold and faceted onyx rondelles, which retail for $147.50, to one lucky VIVmag reader. Click here to enter the giveaway.
Among Nashelle’s nine collections: Found, which focuses on the natural beauty of woods, coral and gems; Metro, classic pieces made with recycled metals; and Raw, an homage to untamed beauty. Our favorite is the Identity collection that is personalized with initials and names. Nashelle founder Heather Beeson-Straw says of her Identity necklace, “I have one myself with all of my children’s names on it and never take it off.” Each piece is handmade in a studio in Bend, OR, by Beeson or other artisans.
Natural surroundings inspire some of Beeson’s designs, she says. “I love to sit in silence and analyze the contrasts and complements of color while in nature.” The preservation of nature is the reason recycled precious metals are used: “We feel strongly about recycling our metal and being aware of our resources to lessen impact on the Earth,” she says. Beeson also draws on the many facets of women for inspiration. “We dress to match our mood and we wear it well,” she says. “Whether it is romantic, sexy, driven, relaxed, playful — we know how to show it off. I design to complement each and every mood that is a single facet of a woman knowing that it changes in the blink of an eye.” The jewelry is available at various retailers and can be ordered online. Also check out Sylas by Nashelle, a collection of cast jewelry.
We love the beauty, versatility and eco-consciousness of Nashelle Jewelry. (We’re not alone — celeb fans include Amy Adams and Rachael Ray.) Does your jewelry selection match your mood?
