We know how easy it is to resolve to buy heart-healthy items but quickly tire of reading labels under the glare of fluorescent lights in the store. Thankfully, the American Heart Association’s interactive My Grocery List tool helps to create a healthy shopping list so you can stick to it.
Simply find your favorite food by category or manufacturer, type the quantity and add it to your list. For example, under the Breakfast Foods category, cold cereal options include Quaker Life, Total Cinnamon Crunch and varieties of Cheerios.
But don’t worry that you’re limited only to the manufacturers on the list — the My Items section allows you to add other foods. When you’re finished, you can save the list and access the Web version from your cell phone when you’re ready to shop.
