Green, not bling, was the theme of this year’s Oscar gifting suites, L.A.’s annual pre-awards celeb swagfest. There were no mink eyelash extensions, 24-karat-gold-leaf facials or slingbacks studded with gemstones at the Alive! Lounge at Sofitel LA hotel.

Instead, the fair-trade food company Explorer’s Bounty debuted its new line of puffed crunchy fruit (our favorite was cinnamon banana, just 90 calories and 0 grams fat for a ¾-ounce bag). Jonathan Antin, the celebrity hairdresser and showman of Bravo’s reality show Blow Out, dispensed his just-launched Green Rootine shampoo and silkening cream, which contain ingredients like aloe vera, black cumin and rosemary (“It’s the first organic hair-care line that’s style-conscious,” Antin claims), along with blow-drying tips (“Pull the hair taut with a round brush,” he says. “You need heat and tension for the perfect blowout. It’s like ironing a shirt; you won’t get the wrinkles out unless you lay it flat”).

Celebrity manicurist Nettie Davis offered nontoxic manicures (she smoothed our cuticles with olive oil and buffed our nails to a natural shine) and samples of her luscious organic body balms in scents like grapefruit, lavender and cedar (find them, along with her sugar scrubs, at nettiescrub.com).
