Fall Fashions Spotlight Glamour, Confidence

This stunning red one-shoulder dress turned heads at Badgley Mischka.

Check out part three of VIV‘s Fashion Week coverage for more fall favorites.

Badgley Mischka
This dynamic duo focused on glamorous dresses in gold metallics and luxe chiffon. Sequin and lace detailing added to the drama, which, to be honest, was a welcome escape from the realities of a recession. For day, we had our eye on the black single-breasted basket-weave coat. For night, the red one-shoulder dress with ruffled arm and the deep silver one-shoulder ruffled gown were crowd pleasers.

Max Azria
Perhaps influenced by Azria’s Herve Leger line, the show exhibited a bit of bondage-meets-goddess theme. The collection as a whole focused on the confident woman who isn’t afraid to strut her stuff, with looks ranging from ultrastructured peekaboo jackets and skirts to drapey gowns layered over turtlenecks.

Michael Kors
This show was all about bringing sexy back! Asymmetrical cuts and sculpted detailing were key while exaggerated cowl and funnel necks made a statement. We absolutely loved the camel-toned pieces (especially the strapless dress with sculpted bodice accessorized with a brilliant bold choker) and we couldn’t help but smile at Kors’ uplifting pops of neon pink, orange and yellow.
