Botox is a hot topic these days — recently, Julia Roberts revealed why she doesn’t follow the Hollywood trend and Teri Hatcher posted photos of her furrowed brow on her Facebook page to prove she’s not a user. However, other stars, such as Virginia Madsen, make a strong case for Botox injections. But we’re just not ready to have toxins shot into our face with a needle. So we decided to try Rodial’s new Glamtox Sticks ($60) — nicknamed “Botox in a bottle” — and used by the likes of Victoria Beckham and Sienna Miller.

Swim to Get Sexy and Slim

With summer here, we’ve got beaches, bikinis and swimming on our minds. And we’re especially stoked about the latter — no matter what your fitness level, going for a dip is one of the best ways to get in shape because water cushions stiff joints and provides far more resistance than air to help build long, lean muscles. We know many fashionistas who would kill to work at a magazine like Vogue or as a stylist to stars like Kate Winslet and Liv Tyler. It’s been almost 15 years since we hosted our first Cinco de Mayo get-together, which, for us, is more of a celebration of good friends and warm weather than a reflection upon the Mexicans’ surprise win over the French at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. We typically make Mexican and Tex-Mex food — and mix some cocktails, of course. But for a twist on the usual margaritas and sangria, we thought we’d try to stir things up with Rosangel, the new Gran Centenario Reposado Tequila.

We can never get enough of the superb Susan Sarandon, so we’re thrilled that there are two opportunities to watch her this weekend. On April 23, she traces her ancestral roots on NBC’s Who Do You Think You Are?, in an effort to find out what became of her grandmother, and on April 24, she stars opposite Al Pacino in HBO’s You Don’t Know Jack, about assisted-suicide advocate Jack Kevorkian, M.D. (Photo credit: Michael Caulfield/Getty)

Unless our two cats choose to drape themselves on us, we don’t believe in wearing fur. (The fur choice is an ethical and environmental concern; some estimates put animal agriculture at a 40 percent greater contribution to global warming than transportation.) We decided to take further steps to green our wardrobe this year, seeking more natural fabrics and garments made by people paid fair wages and by companies that try to lessen their carbon impact, such as Vaute Couture (left).
