We all know someone who is dealing (or has dealt) with cancer — in fact, approximately one in three women and one in two men will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, according to the American Cancer Society. To fight this deadly disease, a dream team of more than 60 celebrities, including Jennifer Aniston, Christina Applegate, Sheryl Crow and Meryl Streep, are helping raise funds for Stand Up to Cancer, a charity that supports cutting-edge cancer research. Some of the stars will participate in charity auctions running on eBay through Sept. 15. Items up for bid include a fondue lunch with Stephen Colbert, tickets to a taping of The Oprah Winfrey Show featuring Dr. Mehmet Oz, and a walk-on role on Spider-Man 4. One hundred percent of the proceeds benefit Stand Up to Cancer.
