VIV Moment
I, like most women, have had to battle with my lack of self-esteem and confidence. I never seemed to have a problem with finding myself in a relationship, but I had never had the sense that I had met my soul mate.
Then I met Brian at a film festival; I had this strong sense that I was supposed to know him. Fast forward, we fell in love and got married. Everything made me smile on my wedding day. It all seemed perfect, and if anything did go wrong I was (and still am) completely unaware of it. I had never felt such peace within myself – inside and out. Everything felt like it was in the right place for the first time in my life. My maid of honor said to me, “When you get to the top of the hill, stop and count to 10, and in those seconds, really take a look at everyone.”
It was in that moment of first seeing my husband — and then everyone else —
that I knew my heart had finally found its home.
