VIVMag Racks Up Coveted Accolades with Two Top Honors in Digital Publishing from MINOnline’s Editorial & Design Awards

NEW YORK, Nov. 8, 2011 – VIVMag, the all-digital luxury lifestyle magazine for women, was honored by min’s Editorial & Design Awards at an exclusive gala in New York on Nov.  7, taking home coveted awards in two categories. The March/April 2011 issue was recognized in the “Best Digital Magazine Edition” category and the article, “This Is Why You Need the Food Police,” featured in the January/February 2011 issue, was recognized in the “Feature Article Online” category.

The min awards program recognizes excellence in content and design among consumer and business-to-business media brands. VIVmag‘s March/April 2011 issue, featuring actress Jane Leeves on the cover, secured the award for the publication. It contains a plethora of engaging editorial and rich photography, immersing readers in an environment that promotes a healthier, happier lifestyle. From the January/February 2011 issue, the article, “This is Why You Need the Food Police,” secured a second recognition. In this revealing story, writer Alexa Joy Sherman uses cutting-edge digital capabilities to identify the top four diet saboteurs and show women how they can police their own consumption.

The min’s Editorial & Design Awards recognition is an indicaor of the industry momentum the publication has garnered, coming at the heels of an announcement highlighting VIVmag’s award for “Best Digital Edition” in the consumer category in FOLIO: Magazine’s 2011 Eddie Awards.

“We’re delighted to see that industry leaders recognize the truly engaging experience that VIVMag brings to readers,” said Anne M. Russell, editor-in-chief, VIVmag. “We strive to create a ground-breaking experience through engaging interactive elements and the recognition by min’s Editorial & Design Awards validates the effort we put into each and every article.”

Owned by VIV Publishing LLC and founded in 2006, VIVmag, the first exclusively digital women’s luxury and lifestyle magazine, is on the cutting edge of digital publishing. Each issue pushes the boundaries of technology and style with multi-layered, interactive features and rich media. Features like “Mix & Match,” where the user can change combinations of the model’s accessories with the touch of a finger, engage readers in ways that print media cannot, adding depth and value into the reading experience.  “The talent on the VIVmag team runs deep, and I’m happy to see their hard work continues to be recognized by some of the most innovative experts within the digital publishing industry,” said Jeanniey Mullen, VIVmag‘s global executive vice president and chief marketing officer.

MINOnline is a publishing industry trade website that discusses issues involving all aspects of the media business. The min Editorial & Design Awards honor winners in over 30 categories to recognize the growing importance of digital.
