VIVmag cover model Beth Ostrosky Stern, wife of Howard Stern, became involved with animal rescue and adoption organization North Shore Animal League America five years ago when she was asked to volunteer her time to model couture gowns while carrying puppies down the runway for their annual Lewyt Humane Awards Luncheon. “I wouldn’t leave the runway until every animal was adopted,” she recalls.
Now a regular visitor to the shelter, Ostrosky Stern says her first stop is to see the adult pets, whose owners in many cases have passed away. “They’re living the later part of their years at a shelter, and it’s so heartbreaking, because they’re often the most perfect dogs,” she says.
Animal rights activism runs in Ostrosky Stern’s blood. Growing up, her family rescued dogs, cats and guinea pigs — she and her siblings even paid visits “for years and years” to a few baby chicks that were sent to a farm once they grew into chickens. “When Howard and I started dating, we had a fantasy of getting a dog together. I didn’t even know of any pet stores because that wasn’t an option growing up,” she says.
Ostrosky Stern ran the New York City Marathon last fall in an effort to raise more than $300,000 for North Shore Animal League. Her favorite moment? Being greeted at the finish line by the shelter’s staff and volunteers, as well as Stern and his youngest daughter, Ashley. “I think Howard was pretty shocked that I wasn’t even sweating,” she says. “It was like an adrenaline rush.”

Beth “O” Stern is relatively attractive but not very beautiful. Though, most assuredly, she is a wonderful person. If she could stand being with that ugly Mongoose, Pelican looking, Preying Mantis Stern of a husband, well, she deserves praise! Best of luck to her, she’ll need it. There are some things fame and fortune can’t camaflouge and that’s his looks, denigrating attitude and personality.

The negative comments about both Beth and Howard are worse than anything he has ever said. You obviously don’t listen to his show because if you did, you would know that he is a kind, intelligent, funny, driven, loving man with a commitment to family and the highest integrity. I think he’s gorgeous – beauty comes from the inside. They enjoy a long-term relationship, they work hard to make each other very happy, and that’s rare. Beth – keep up the good and loving work!
Beth is totally beautiful and she uses her beauty and charm in a positive way. Howard is lucky to be married to someone as wonderful as Beth and he’s decent and smart enough to realize it.

Beth is one of the single biggest hypocrites on the planet. That charity is a scam, it has one of the worst ratings of any charity in America, spends a huge amount of it’s donation on big parties and big salaries. The TWO of them occupy more than 22000 sf of housing and travel in private jets, helicopters and limos but yet want to appear like normal people. What about the prisitine oceanfront ecosystem destroyed for that hideous house and the carbon footprint that their excess leaves behind. Amaaaazing is not the word for this former discount store model. Laaaaaaaaaaame is much more like it.
Beth doesn’t want to be famous
It’s almost as if she is using dogs to be famous. She did the same with Howard.
Beth has been having an affair with Larry King for over three years. She told Viv that she was attracted to his youthful body and disposition compared to the big bird she married. Meanwhile Howard just lowered his chess rating to 122 after another 8 hr match.

It’s understandable that degrading comments about Howard Stern’s appearance and personality exist for discernible reasons; yes, he is monstrous looking and habitually self centered but that’s what makes him different and special. What people don’t see about him, is his self loathing. Beth helps sooth his “hatred of self”. She brings him some kind of solace and comfort and as well compensates for all of the negativity in his life.
Even animals like Stern should be loved and Beth sees beyond the animal in Stern’s behavior and below par looks. She’ll keep him and care for him as she would any lost stray. She’s a wonderful woman.
What is this, the stern fan network?
Well, I do see that there are some Sterniacks here that may love him dearly. But, what they fail to see, is the cold sinister side of their king, that resonates each morning on air in continuum !! He has reiterated time and again in his own words, that he would NEVER, EVER, assist or help his own needy parent or even one of his own children, in their time of desperation and plight for medical assistance or emergency. He’s so cold hearted that he wouldn’t ever step up to save any one of his children or parents from a severe illness or life-threatening condition. His wife Allison divorced him for similar reasons, I’m sure. His children have been primarily alienated from him because of his lack of affection and lack of closeness and love for them….His relationship with them is purely an unemotional one, as he will eventually see as he ages and they move on with their lives; as they have most assuredly already done. He should berate himself not these poor simpletons that are employed by him, which have no further recourse but to listen to his asinine childish rantings. He believes he’s intelligent but really? Think about it. His pure lack of intellect along with drive and ambition, has placed him in to this circus atmosphere of success, which by his own admission has been emulsified by his bulbous paycheck and power position which he feels now places him on the intellectual scale and level of most of the greats of societal prowess. The joke’s on him. He’s still basically in the basement of his childhood home performing puppet shows. The only differential now is that he’s on the radio sophmourishly entertaining the masses. Nothing specifically has changed, has it?
Its truly amazing how mean, nasty and insensitive you wanna be so-called stern fans can be.
What Howard does is for the radio. He’s being funny, obnoxious and sometimes downright mean all in the name of comedy (all for you. He’s rich and can leave the radio now, but he’s hanging in there for his fans and this is how you thank him).
But you people… is this really your personalities or are you just looking for the attention from these readers that your family and friends don’t give you.
I don’t know Howard or Beth but I’m hurt for both of them. They don’t, and no one for that matter, deserve the mean vicious words that are written by these individuals whom are to cowardly to even give their real names.
